TOO WEIRD. Kuznetsova has haircut on court.

The life of a tennis player can be rather busy, and sometimes you even do not have time for a haircut. Svetlana Kuznetsova qualified at the last minute for the WTA finals in Singapore after she won the title in Moscow on Saturday. Two days after, she was already competing in Singapore against the defending champion Agnieszka Radwanska. Apparently, there was not much time for a haircut.

Why she cut her hair

In the post-match interview, Svetlana explained what happened

“It was bothering me a lot. I was trying to put it behind my headband, but my hair is very thick and heavy.

In the end, when I was hitting the forehands, every time I would hit a good shot… it would hit my eye every time, and I was struggling.

I thought, ‘okay, what’s more, important now – my hair which I can let grow or the match?’ I was not thinking too much, though. I was just trying to get the best [out] of me.”

Apparently, that was a great move from Svetlana that before having her haircut, she was 1-2 down in the decider. Eventually, the Russian won the match 7-5 1-6 7-5.
