How Djokovic defeats Federer and Nadal?
During an interview with sport.sk, Nole’s coach Marián Vajda commented
“He can play with them. He has played many matches against them. Thanks to this, in the [Wimbledon] final gave a fantastic tactical performance. He was not rushing. He was able to mix shots and knew when it was time to attack. It was great tennis. The joy of watching a beautiful tactical battle from both sides. He has a winning mindset and that is very important. He doesn’t accept that he can lose. It always focuses on the next moment.”
Talking about Novak’s win against Federer, Vajda added:
“It certainly wasn’t a coincidence, but a sophisticated game plan. He managed to follow the plan perfectly in the details. Especially in the final set, he perceived that Federer had five hours in his legs and could no longer play with such intensity. So he tactically pushed him into long exchanges. It paid off. He read the game very well, being strong mentally and physically.”
Nole is now taking some time off before competing in Montreal and Cincinnati ahead of renewing his bid for the upcoming US Open.
