Former world number one Marat Safin is set to collaborate with fellow Russian Andrey Rublev as part of his coaching team. The partnership will not replace Rublev’s main coach, Fernando Vicente, who will continue in his current role.
The collaboration is scheduled to begin at the Monte-Carlo Masters, Rublev’s next tournament, and is expected to last through the clay court season. Fans are eager to see how Safin’s experience and insight will contribute to Rublev’s performance during this period.
Rublev recently said Safin helped him deal with his mental health, and he started to play without anxiety and stress. Now, Safin joins as his second coach.
