
Alexander Bublik had one of his funny moments when he was playing in Miami against home favorite Tommy Paul. The American player performed a fantastic passing shot, but it was a double bounce. Therefore, Bublik won the point, but for some weird reasons he asked for a verification with the VAR system against his own interest.
Eventually the chair empire was right, as Tommy Paul indeed could not hit the ball before a double bounce. The result was that Bublik lost the VAR review, but he won the point.

Ranked world no.80, Bublik played his last match on the 21st of March when he surrendered to world no.13 Tommy Paul 5-7 7-5 6-4 in the 2nd round in Miami (draw).
Currently, during this season Alexander has managed to achieve an overall 7-10 win-loss record. Alexander Bublik’s best accomplishment of this season was getting to the final in the Phoenix Challenger.
He is also scheduled to play in Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters (Monte–Carlo). The main draw will start on the 6th of April.
