Radwanska demolishes Wozniacki in Beijing

Agnieszka Radwanska and Caroline Wozniacki are great friends. The two top players “cemented their closeness” after playing three matches in 13 days. After defeating Agnieszka in Tokyo, Caroline lost to her friend the week after in Wuhan, and now also in Beijing.

In the China Open, the Pole and the Dane had a close affair only in the first part of the match, until Wozniacki was enjoying a 2-1 lead. Then, Radwanska won nine of the following ten games to grab a decisive 6-3 4-0 lead. It was too late for Wozniacki to recover, and Agnieszka won the match 6-3 6-1.

The Pole will face either Alize Cornet or Yaroslava Shvedova in quarters.
