20-year-old Karen Khachanov wins his maiden tournament in Chengdu. The Russian impressed with his powerful tennis and a fierce display of his incredible forehand.
In the final against Albert Ramos Vinolas, after splitting the first two sets, Karen was trailing one break down in the decider (1-2) to immediately break back (2-all). The Russian conquered the decisive break in the 8th game to finally win the match 6-7 (4) 7-6 (3) 6-3.
After this title, Karen will break in the top100 (from 101 to 55). Besides 250 ATP points, the Russian will cash $148,860. We will hear much more about this guy.
