We have a fantastic final in Shenzhen between Tomas Berdych and Richard Gasquet.

Berdych

Tomas is not playing the best tennis of his life, but he has still managed to reach the final in Shenzhen. The Czech defeated the world no.81 Thomas Bellucci 6-2 7-5 in the semifinal in just 82 minutes.

The good news was that this match made a full house. Tomas appreciated that to comment

“It’s always a pleasure to play in front of a full stadium here.  It was a great atmosphere and a great time to be on the court. I like the courts and the conditions, and once you get a good result, it’s a place you want to come back to.”

I was struggling physically the past few weeks, so it’s nice to be playing some matches and tomorrow I will have a chance to go for the title. Things are going well.”

Gasquet

Richard had an extremely easy ride in Shenzhen to reach the final without dropping a single set. The semifinal was particularly smooth with Tipsarevic retiring when he was 6-2 4-1 down (groin injury).

The head to head between Berdych and Gasquet is 7-all, 5-all on hard court. It’s tricky to pick a favorite.
