Humbert topples Ivashka in the quarter of the Hall of Fame Open

Ugo Humbert bests Ilya Ivashka 7-5 3-6 6-2 in the quarter in Newport on Friday. Humbert will have to play John Isner in the semifinal.

Ugo won the set after he broke Ivashka 3 times in the 3^rd (2-1), in the 9^th (5-4) and in the 11^th (6-5) game. Ilya tried to stage a comeback breaking in the 6^th (3-3) and in the 10^th (5-5) game. Yet, Ugo didn’t make any concession anymore before winning the set 7-5.
