No good news for Rafa.. not at all! Keep in mind that this tournament should not be considered “good” for clay court players because it is played in altitude (fast) and the blue clay does not allow high bounces.
RAFA
OK, Roger is on Novak’s side, but Rafa should play in his first match either Davydenko or worse Karlovic that could be really fatal on this fast and low bounce surface. Then it might play Verdasco and then Berdych. In the semis he would play another boom boom player (Isner or Del Porto).
ROGER
He may have a very tricky first match with Raonic (full of confidence and probably at ease on this Smurf surface). Then he may play Ferrer in the quarter finals to confront Nole in a possible semifinal.
NOVAK
The world nr.1 had a not so difficult draw to play a qualifier in his first match. Then Lopez or Wawrinka and then probably Tipsarevic or Simon in the quarters.
