Naomi Osaka seems to be the next big name in the WTA circuit. The 18-year-old had a great week in Tokyo after she reached the final. In her run, Naomi defeated high-quality players such as Dominika Cibulkova and Elina Svitolina before bowing to Caroline Wozniacki in the final.
After last week, Osaka gains 19 places in the rankings to be the new world no. 47 (career high).

Caroline won her first title of the season to gain six places in the rankings. The Dane is now ranked no. 22. Still far from her past glory, but the former world no.1 is on her way back.
