The WTA announced that the UniCredit Iasi Open will continue to be part of the Hologic WTA Tour for the next three seasons. This WTA 250 event will replace the Hungarian Grand Prix and will be held the week of July 27 on outdoor clay courts. Iasi has previously hosted WTA 125 tournaments in 2022 and 2023, and it made its debut as a WTA 250 event in 2024.
The tournament has already seen some exciting moments, with Mirra Andreeva winning the singles title and Anna Danilina and Irina Khromacheva taking the doubles title last year. The continuation of this event will undoubtedly bring more thrilling tennis action to Iasi and provide a great platform for players to showcase their talents.
