Fonseca’s victory, which marked his first ATP Tour title, has catapulted him into the spotlight and set the stage for his next challenge at the ATP 500 tournament in Rio de Janeiro.

In a thrilling final, Fonseca defeated local favorite Francisco Cerúndolo in straight sets, 6-4, 7-6 (1), showcasing his exceptional talent and mental toughness. The win not only earned him his maiden ATP title but also propelled him into the ATP Top 70, a remarkable achievement for someone who was ranked 655 just a year ago.
