In a thrilling final, Fonseca defeated local favorite Francisco Cerúndolo in straight sets, 6-4, 7-6 (1), showcasing his exceptional talent and mental toughness. The win not only earned him his maiden ATP title but also propelled him into the ATP Top 70, a remarkable achievement for someone who was ranked 655 just a year ago.
