By building a new padel complex, Brighton & Hove Albion FC plans to improve its training facilities. The Adur and Worthing councils have granted planning approval for the construction of two covered padel courts at the club’s training facility in Lancing. A two-story structure featuring restrooms, offices, and classrooms as well as a seating area will be part of the development.
The dome-shaped roof that will cover the padel courts is intended to let in more sunlight and save electricity. PV panels will also be installed on the building to increase energy efficiency. A tree will be planted in a nearby grassland area as part of a biodiversity enhancement project, and the site will be leveled and resurfaced with 3G material.
The first floor of the new facility will have a multipurpose area, changing rooms, a seating/social area, and indoor padel courts. The current training center entrance will remain the only way to enter the facility. The project intends to support the club’s environmental initiatives while providing players with an enjoyable and interesting way to maintain their fitness.
The improvement of Brighton and Hove Albion FC’s training facilities is a reflection of the team’s commitment to offering its players and the community first-rate resources.
