Jack Draper has voiced his support for Jannik Sinner following the latter’s three-month suspension due to doping violations. Draper, who considers Sinner a good friend, expressed his belief that Sinner did not intentionally violate any rules. He emphasized that while accountability is crucial in sports, the ban is not beneficial for tennis or the sport in general. Draper hopes Sinner will return to the court soon and continue his impressive performances.
This is what Draper said:
“Jannik is a good friend, I’m sure he didn’t do any of this intentionally. Of course, this is sport and we are responsible for what’s in our bodies. I don’t think it’s a good thing for tennis that the n. 1 in the world, someone who like Sinner has done crazy things in the last few months, is suspended. But he’ll be back soon, I wish him the best and I hope he’ll be fine”
