Miomir Kecmanovic delivered a stunning performance to clinch the Delray Beach Open singles title, overcoming a challenging match against Alejandro Davidovich Fokina. The Serbian player saved two match points in a thrilling final set, ultimately winning 3-6, 6-1, 7-5.
Kecmanovic trailed 2-5 in the final set but rallied to win the last five games.
The first match point was saved when Davidovich Fokina missed a groundstroke by a mere millimeter, and the second came after Kecmanovic’s volley clipped the top of the net.
This victory marks Kecmanovic’s second ATP title, adding to his 2020 win in Kitzbuhel. He also secured the doubles title with Brandon Nakashima, making him the fourth player to win both titles in the same year at the Delray Beach Open.
