In a recent statement, President of the Italian Tennis Federation, Angelo Binaghi, addressed the doping settlement involving top-ranked tennis player Jannik Sinner. Binaghi emphasized that the settlement “certifies Jannik’s innocence” and highlighted the importance of the decision in clearing Sinner’s name.
Binaghi praised the resolution, stating that it confirms Sinner’s lack of intent to cheat and acknowledges the negligence of his entourage. He further added that the decision upholds the integrity of the sport and ensures that Sinner can continue his career without the shadow of the doping case hanging over him.
The Italian Tennis Federation President’s remarks underscore the significance of the settlement in maintaining the sport’s credibility and protecting athletes from unfair accusations. Binaghi’s support for Sinner reflects the federation’s commitment to its players and their well-being.
As Sinner prepares to return to the court, the tennis community looks forward to seeing him compete in upcoming tournaments with renewed vigor and determination.
This is what she said: “It is the first time that a shameful injustice makes us happy because our first thought is for the boy who sees a nightmare come to an end.
This agreement between the two parties certifies Jannik’s innocence, his absolute non-guilt, and finally allows him to calm down and plan his future with a great return to the Internazionali BNL d’Italia in Rome where all of Italy will welcome him as he deserves. The regret remains for everything he had to go through and for all the time Jannik had to spend with this burden.
If nothing else, this will perhaps be the last great mistake of Wada which, as we know, has already decided to change the rules that forced Jannik to accept a compromise that even if it does not recognize any responsibility on his part is truly unfair”.
