It took 82 minutes for the dutch to dispatch the Italian. The match was a one way traffic. The 5th seed will play next either Andreev ot Cervantes.
Istomin – Mathieu 7-5 6-1
In 79minutes Istomin defeated the former world nr12.The first set was quite tight with Istomin winning 7-5, blasting 7 aces and scoring 41 points (vs 39 won by the Frenchman).
The second set was a no context. Istomin greatly improved his 1st serve percentage and his overall game. Mathieu was unable to put a decent percentage of first serve in (only 35%).
