World No. 1 Jannik Sinner continues his dominant run as he prepares for the ATP 500 event in Doha. The 23-year-old Italian, currently in his 36th week atop the rankings, has already made history by matching Carlos Alcaraz’s record.
Sinner started the 2024 season in spectacular fashion, successfully defending his Australian Open title and securing his third Grand Slam trophy. After skipping the ATP 500 event in Rotterdam, he took a brief break in Italy before resuming training at the prestigious Monte Carlo Tennis Club.
With Doha on the horizon, Sinner aims to capture his second title of the season. The tournament features a stacked draw, with Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic also in contention.
Sinner finished 2023 ranked No. 4 but has since surged to the top. His breakthrough came in Melbourne last year when he claimed his maiden Grand Slam by defeating Djokovic and Daniil Medvedev. The Italian continued his dominance throughout the season, winning eight ATP titles and leading Italy to a Davis Cup victory.
With 73 wins in 79 matches last year, Sinner has established himself as the tour’s most consistent performer. Now, he looks to maintain his momentum in Doha as he continues his quest for more titles in 2024.
