Ana Konjuh is finally ready to blossom.
The 18-years-old from Croatia scores the biggest win of her young career in the US Open 4th round after defeating Agnieszka Radwanska 6-4 6-4.
After a bad start (0-2), Ana found her range against the Pole to break Aga twice and win the opener (6-4). The second set was more “regular” with both players holding serve till the 9th game when Aga was broken at 15.

Ana was on a mission. The Croat wanted to avenge the match she lost in Wimbledon against Radwanska (2nd round) when she wasn’t able to convert three match points. Konjuh commented
“I’m just really happy. I played her in Wimbledon. It was a tough match. This time, I took opportunities. You know, I was just going for it. It was the key of the match.”
Next vs. Pliskova
Ana will play Karolina Pliskova for a place in the semi-final. They have never played each other so far.
