“The thought of retiring crosses my mind very often,” Halep said. “I am old, and I have injuries that I can’t recover from. My knee is not recovering.”

Despite her struggles, Halep remains proud of her achievements. “Everything I have done in tennis has been extraordinary,” she stated. “I have worked for it and I feel like a very fulfilled tennis player.”
