Currently, during this year the Spaniard achieved a composed 4-1 record.
He is also scheduled to play in Rotterdam (ABN AMRO Open) on the 3rd of February and Doha (Qatar ExxonMobil Open) on the 17th of February.

Ranked no.7, the Russian played his last match on the 16th of January when he surrendered to world no.80 Learner Tien 6-3 7-6(4) 6-7(8) 1-6 7-6(7) in the 2nd round of the Australian Open (draw).
This season the Russian has achieved a 1-1 match record.
