Nick Kyrgios didn’t have a great campaign on grass this year after he lost in the first round in Stuttgart, and in the second at the Queen’s Club and in Wimbledon.
After losing to Rafael Nadal at the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club Nick Kygios headed to his house at the Bahamas to get ready for the North American swing.
Why Kyrgios is supporting Federer
Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic are going to face off on Sunday for the Wimbledon title and Nick wrote a nice post on Twitter “begging” his friend Roger to win this match. Kyrgios and Federer are in very good terms especially after the Swiss refused to “attack” Nick after the Australian lost his mind during his famous match against Wawrinka back in 2015 when he made inappropriate comments on Stan’s girlfriend. On the other side, Djokovic was pretty vocal about that episode and that was the moment when the Serb and the Australian started to have a complicated relationship.
Last May Kyrgios also slammed at Djokovic criticizing him for his “controversial” way to celebrate after his victories.
Back to Kyrgios’ wishes about the upcoming Wimbledon’s final, the Australian was pretty clear on Twitter to post: “Federer please win”
Federer please win 👻
