Federer, Nadal to play doubles together at the Laver Cup

Roger Federer will play the Laver Cup with Rafael Nadal.

The Swiss legend is the creator of the Laver Cup, and he wants to participate in the first edition that will take place September 22-24, 2017, at the O2 Arena in Prague

What is the Laver Cup?

The Laver Cup is a concept similar to the Ryder Cup (golf) where a European Team confronts another from the Rest of the World.  Roger and Rafa will play for the European Team that may also add Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray.

Borg and McEnroe will renew their rivalry as the captain of the two teams. 



 

Why it will be a success. FEDERER

According to Roger Federer, they should have no problems in attracting some other top players. “I see this as a no-brainer,” Roger added. “Why not spend an interesting, cool, fun weekend with all the best players in the world?”

About playing with Nadal

Roger is excited about playing with Rafa to comment “I think it’s going to be absolutely unbelievable to be on the same side of the net as Rafa, finally.”
