Who is Novak’s wife Jelena Ristic?

Novak married his high school sweetheart Jelena Ristic in July 2014. Jelena is the co-founder and director of the Novak Djokovic Foundation which is involved in bettering the lives of young people in Serbia. Jelena is a graduate of the International University of Monaco. Apart from handling the business side of the Foundation, Jelena also writes for the website of the Foundation.

The couple started dating in September 2005 and were engaged in 2013. Novak’s love for his wife is reflected in his words:

“Seeing her for the first time in her wedding dress, smiling and walking towards me… She looked like an angel, I was trying to be present in that moment and memorize it. I was focused on her, and her smile, and our baby. It really was a perfect moment.”

About Djokovic’s children

Later on his 4th wedding anniversary, Novak said:

“4th anniversary of our marriage today. So much love for my soulmate. Thank you for sharing this wonderful journey of Life with me and our children,”

The couple has a son Stefen born in October 2014 and daughter Tara in 2017. Jelena is very much active on the photo-sharing social media platform, Instagram and regularly shares pictures of her family.

Novak loves which is reflected in his words when he saw his wife and son Stefan at the Wimbledon trophy ceremony in 2018:

“Everyone keeps on asking me to describe the feeling. I have said it is unforgettable, special, fulfilling, wonderful, joyful. But most of all, it is magical.”

Novak has two younger brothers Marko and Djordje. Both his brothers play professional tennis, though it has been a huge challenge for his brothers to come out of his immense shadow.

Novak’s brother Marko Djokovic was recently was brought to his team as the assistant coach. Marko is coaching at the Marbella academy. The world no.1 is very happy having his brother on the tour and recently said:

“It’s really nice to have a family member with me on the tour, I’m the most comfortable with my brother next to Marian.”
