Coco Gauff has advanced to the fourth round of the 2025 Australian Open, defeating Leylah Fernandez 6-4, 6-2. Continuing her impressive form from the WTA Finals, Gauff now faces Belinda Bencic in her next match.
In her on-court interview, Gauff lightened the mood by addressing fan curiosity about her court attire. “A lot of people were wondering how I use the bathroom in this dress, so I posted a video on IG. It’s not a demonstration, but you get the idea!”
Turning to deeper topics, Gauff revealed how she stays grounded despite her growing achievements: “My community, volunteering. I grew up in church. When you grow up in a community like that, you have no choice but to stay grounded.”
Elsewhere in the tournament, Aryna Sabalenka, Paula Badosa, and Mirra Andreeva joined Gauff in advancing to the fourth round, while Carlitos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev secured wins in the men’s draw. Novak Djokovic is set to take the court shortly.
