On Friday, January 17, Spanish player Paula Badosa became irritated with her boyfriend, Stefanos Tsitsipas. Badosa was under tremendous pressure when she faced Marta Kostyuk in the third round of the Australian Open.

Despite winning the first set of the match 6-4, Badosa was put in trouble by windy conditions and some excellent play from Kostyuk.

In the second set of the match, Badosa gave up a 0–4 lead after losing control in the windy conditions. When the wind prevented her from playing her natural game and the balls were striking the racquet frame, a frustrated Badosa attempted to explain this to her team.

Sitting in the audience, Badosa’s boyfriend Tsitsipas urged her to calm down as she attempted to explain her problems to the team. Badosa lost her temper with the Greek player and gestured for him to come play if he thought he could handle the conditions. The commentators were in stitches when they saw the amusing exchange captured on camera. Tsitsipas made a rookie error there, the panel joked.

Fans laughed at Badosa’s weird moment with Tsitsipas. One fan wrote: “Love language has a new meaning.”

Another commented: “Relationship goals right there.”

One weighed in: “I’ve been there, playing on a windy day sucks!”

Another wrote: “Paula asking the wrong guy to play for her.”
