I am very proud of this week. MURRAY

Andy Murray’s 22 winning streak has just ended in the Cincinnati final at the hands of Marin Cilic. Is the Brit upset about that? Not really!

Andy Murray states that he is extremely proud after this week because he has managed to get to the final even if he was extremely tired (and a bit injured) after his triumphant run in Rio (where he won the gold).

WHY I am proud. MURRAY

After losing the final, Andy commented

“I’m very proud of this week,” said Murray, who flew directly to Cincinnati from Rio. “Obviously, today didn’t go how I would have wanted. I certainly didn’t expect to get to the final when I got here. It was a very, very positive week. I’m looking forward to a few days’ rest.”

The Brit was happy he tried hard even if he was struggling with his shoulder

“After the first match I played, I was having problems with my shoulder,” Murray commented. “I did speak about it with my team, but my physio was pretty confident that it was just fatigue, and that I didn’t have any sort of structural damage in my shoulder.

When it was said that I wasn’t going to make it worse by playing, I thought: ‘Let’s go for it this week. Let’s try and get through as many matches as we can.’”
