LONDON. Superb Halep breezes past Svitolina in the semifinal of Wimbledon

Simona Halep exterminates Elina Svitolina 6-1 6-3 in the semifinal in London on Thursday after playing a solid match to square off with Serena Williams in the final.

Halep started the set in the best possible way after breaking Svitolina in the 2^nd game (2-0). Nevertheless, that wasn’t sufficient for Simona to win the set as the Ukrainian found the way to break back in the 3^rd (1-2) game. Halep maintained her cool to break Elina in the 4^th (3-1) and in the 6^th (5-1) game before winning the set (6-1).

Svitolina was completely knocked out in the last 4 games of the set (from 2-1 to 6-1).
