Kokkinakis faces new injury drama at Australian Open

Thanasi Kokkinakis’ 2025 Australian Open campaign hit a hurdle as he struggled with a pectoral issue ahead of his match. The Australian player, already dealing with muscle concerns, experienced additional discomfort in his thigh and hip during the match.

Kokkinakis, known for his injury struggles, was seen wincing in pain and rubbing the affected areas. In an effort to manage the discomfort, he took Nurofen tablets before calling for a medical time out.

As Kokkinakis aims to push through the challenges, fans are hoping his injuries won’t derail his progress in this year’s tournament.
