Alison Riske, the Wimbledon quarterfinalist this year, was born and raised in Western Pennsylvania in America as part of a tennis-crazed family.
Riske stunned the world no.1 Ashleigh Barty 3-6 6-2 6-3 and advanced to the quarterfinals of Wimbledon. This is for the first time in a decade long career that Alison managed to enter the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam event. Riske will face a tough challenge in the form of Serena Williams to move ahead in the tournament.

Riske has been in love with Stephen Amritraj, the former Indian professional tennis player. Stephen is the son of former Indian Davis Cup player, Anand Amritraj. Stephen does not play professional tennis now and works as a national coach for men’s tennis since 2014.
After dating for some time (the exact time period of their dating is not known), the couple got engaged in July 2016. Riske is all set to marry Amritraj after Wimbledon. When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were getting married in 2018, Riske had tweeted that she plans a similar grand wedding with Amritraj.
Alison is super excited about her impending marriage: “I wish I could get married more often. Maybe we will have to renew our vows because it’s worked out well having that on the horizon, I am looking forward to it so much. Everything is pretty much already in the stone. I’m not really stressed about it. I haven’t been stressed about it really from the beginning probably because my fiancĂ© has been doing all the work.”
