Naomi Osaka has declared that she is no longer seeing Cordae, her longtime partner and the father of their young daughter, Shai.
In 2019, Osaka started dating Cordae, and the rapper soon started attending her shows regularly. When she defeated Victoria Azarenka to win the US Open in 2020, he was spotted on the court celebrating with her team.
Additionally, Osaka’s documentary series, which debuted on Netflix in 2021, highlighted their relationship. They declared their pregnancy two years later, and in the summer of 2023, Osaka gave birth to their daughter.
She revealed their split on her Instagram story and wrote: “Hi everyone, just wanted to say that Cordae and I are no longer in a relationship. No bad blood at all; he’s a great person and an awesome dad. Honestly, I’m really glad our paths crossed because my daughter is my biggest blessing, and I was able to grow a lot from our experiences together.”
