Tennis fans are talking about Nick Kyrgios’s abdominal injury concern ahead of the 2025 Australian Open. Because of his recent attacks on his colleagues, some of them were amused by the prospect of the controversial Australian missing out on his home tournament.
After missing more than a year of tennis due to a variety of injuries and surgeries, Kyrgios made a comeback at the Brisbane International. Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard defeated him in a wild three-setter. Many people are waiting for the 29-year-old to return to the Australian Open, but he recently made a worrying announcement that he posted on his Instagram story.
Many tennis fans have taken issue with Kyrgios’ constant criticism of Jannik Sinner and Iga Swiatek, particularly the former, over the doping saga verdicts because of the way the Australian expressed his disapproval.
On X (formerly Twitter), they responded to a potential abdominal injury. One fan made fun of the Australian’s remarks to CODE Sports, stating that he was going to fight for a Grand Slam and “shut people up.”
One fan joked: “Bro said he’s gonna come back and win a slam when he can’t even play in one.”
Another one wrote: “I can’t help but feel that this is karma returning serve for his toxic behavior!”
Another commented: “He’s such a liar! He’s been censured and banned for harassing players. He’s a total dodger.”
Another one wrote: “Your karma is on its way for all the name-calling and harassment toward Novak. Stop pretending to be innocent—we never forget a bully’s face.”
