Murray 1 step away from history

Andy Murray is once away close to making history.

The Brit defeats Kei Nishikori to reach the final in Rio, and he might be the first tennis players to win the gold in singles back to back after London 2012.

Andy was in complete control of in the semifinal against Nishikori to win 6-1 6-4. This is an extremely important win as the world no.2 has spent too many energies in the previous two rounds when he defeated Fognini and Johnson after huge three sets battles.

The goal is the gold. MURRAY

Andy is pumped after his win against the Japanese to comment

“The goal is to just try and win a gold medal. I’m not really thinking about any of the stuff that goes with that just now.

It’s obviously a very difficult thing to do, hence why it’s not been done before. I’ll go out there, hopefully, play a good match, fight as hard as I can, give it everything and see what happens.”

The final vs. Del Potro

Andy will face Juan Martin Del Potro in the final. The head to head is 5-2 for Andy, but Delpo has already surprised (a lot) after beating Djokovic and Nadal on the way. Game on!
