The event featured six top men’s players competing in a fast-paced, round-robin format. The players were divided into two groups of three, with the winners of each group advancing to the final. The final match saw Rune face off against Norway’s Casper Ruud, who had also been in impressive form throughout the tournament.

Rune managed to outlast Ruud in a nail-biting final, securing his place as the first-ever winner of the Red Bull Bassline in Melbourne.
