15-year-old Coco Gauff is the big surprise of the current Wimbledon edition.
The American teenager has been showing fantastic tennis and nerves of steel after she reached the 2nd week at the Championships following her amazing victory in the 3rd round against Polona Hercog after she saved 2 match points.
Currently ranked no.313, Coco will go up at least 174 places in the rankings to be ranked at least 139.

If Coco wins her next match against Simona Halep, she will break in the top 100 (no.97). The youngster is curiously considered as one of the favorites to win the all thing. Obviously, this is a rather dire prediction. However, if that would ever happen, Gauff would be ranked no.22.
Why Gauff can beat Simona Halep
Cori will face the former world no.1 for a place in the quarters. This is new terrain for both Coco and Simona. Even if the Romanian is the obvious favorite to win the match, Gauff’s father thinks that his daughter can still make it to comment:
“I think that if she plays good tennis she will give herself some chances. If she stays positive out there, and keeps fighting like she did in her last match, you never know what’s going to happen. You give herself a chance. I think her good tennis is good enough.”
Coco and Simona will clash on Monday at 3 pm (est) on Court 1. This will be another match to watch!
