Emma Raducanu will play the Singapore Open

The inaugural Singapore Tennis Open 2025, set to take place from January 27 to February 2, will feature a star-studded lineup including British sensation Emma Raducanu. The event will feature experienced players and rising stars, including Russian world No. 14 Anna Kalinskaya, 2020 Australian Open champion Sofia Kenin, and Grand Slam doubles champions Elise Mertens and Wang Xinyu.

The tennis world is abuzz with excitement as the inaugural Singapore Tennis Open 2025 is set to take place from January 27 to February 2 at the Kallang Tennis Hub. Among the star-studded lineup, British sensation Emma Raducanu, the 2021 US Open champion, is gearing up to make her mark in Singapore once again.

Raducanu, who first visited Singapore in 2022 for a brief training stint at the Tanglin Club, has fond memories of the city and its vibrant culture. She expressed her excitement about returning to Singapore, saying, “I’m thrilled to be part of the Singapore Tennis Open and to experience the energy of the fans and the multicultural atmosphere of the city”.

The tournament will feature a mix of experienced players and rising stars, including Russian world No. 14 Anna Kalinskaya and 2020 Australian Open champion Sofia Kenin. Grand Slam doubles champions Elise Mertens and Wang Xinyu will also be competing, adding to the excitement of the event.

Laura Ceccarelli, co-tournament director, commented on the player field, saying, “We’re expecting some great matches in both singles and doubles, with a good mix of experience and fresh talent”. The qualifying rounds will be held on January 25 and 26, with four additional wildcards making up the 32-player field.

The Singapore Tennis Open marks the return of international tennis action to Singapore, with the last top women’s tennis tournament held in 2018. Fans are eagerly anticipating the chance to see Raducanu and other top players in action at the new Kallang Tennis Hub.
