Juan Martin Del Potro was scheduled to play the world no.1 Novak Djokovic on Sunday in the first round of the Rio Olympics. Eventually, that wasn’t the trickiest challenge of the day as the Argentine found himself stuck in the elevator of the Olympic Village for 40 minutes because of a power cut.
Apparently, there was no mobile phone signal in the elevator, and Juan Martin had to shout to get some attention.
Finally, it was the Argentinian handball team to rescue the Argentine.
Later in the day, Juan Martin hit the headlines once again after he upset Djokovic.
What a day!
