Kei Nishikori is a man on a mission. The Japanese no.1 is currently in Rio for the Olympic Games where he thinks he can get something important.
Why Nishikori thinks he can win the gold medal
Kei thinks that it’s a pity that many top players will not participate in Rio (half of the top10 are out), but he also believes that this will be a great opportunity for him to win something important.
“Many top players have pulled out, so there is an aspect of missing them,” Nishikori commented. “But I want to make the most of this chance.
I’m gradually getting into the Olympic mood. I have a chance this time, so I want to win a medal. I’m aiming for the gold.”
Nishikori gained some confidence also after reaching the final last week in Toronto where he lost i the final to Djokovic.
Kei fell in Murray’s half, and he will play Ramos in the opener.

I do not think he has many chances for the gold medal. In fact, he should beat Murrayand Djokovic back to back and I really can;t see that. He can definitely win the bronze
