Opelka, American rising star, upsets Anderson in Atlanta

A new rising star is on his way on the ATP tour.

6′ 11″ Reilly Opelka has already won Wimbledon (Junior) in 2015; the American giant wasn’t only about big serve, but he also showed some solid tennis from the baseline.

Reilly is now 18-year-old, and he has reached the quarters in Atlanta after having upset Kevin Anderson in a 3 hours’ match 6-7 (5) 6-3 7-5. Reilly recovered from a 2-5 deficit in the decider to win five consecutive games after he saved two match points in the 9th game on Anderson’s serve.

Next vs. Young

Opelka will play Donald Young for a place in the semifinal. This will be their official match at ATP level.
