Stefanos Tsitsipas is determined to turn over a new leaf in 2025 after a challenging season that saw him drop out of the top 10 and win only one title at the Monte Carlo Masters. The Greek star, now ranked world number 11, has parted ways with his father, Apostolos, as his coach and is focusing on reshaping his approach to both tennis and life.
“I’m looking at kind of reinventing myself,” Tsitsipas revealed ahead of the United Cup mixed team event, which kicks off his 2025 campaign. Reflecting on his recent struggles, he admitted to being “stuck in a pattern” and emphasized his desire for steady improvement rather than immediate triumphs.
Entering the new year ranked outside the top 10 for the first time since 2019, the 26-year-old sees it as an opportunity to reduce external pressures while focusing on consistency. “Now it’s my opportunity to add on points and get some good weeks going,” he said.
Tsitsipas is using the United Cup as a stepping stone for the Australian Open, where he reached the final in 2023. With a focus on stability and growth, Tsitsipas is eager to chart a new trajectory for the upcoming season.
