Carlos Alcaraz ramped up his 2025 Australian Open preparations by practicing with Matteo Berrettini in Murcia, Spain. The training session comes after Jack Draper, initially scheduled to train with Alcaraz, withdrew due to injury.

Despite the setback, Alcaraz remained committed to his rigorous training regimen, recently completing a kilometer run in three minutes. His latest practice partner, Matteo Berrettini, is coming off a stellar comeback season, highlighted by three titles, a climb to 34th in the ATP rankings, and helping Italy secure consecutive Davis Cup victories.

Following their practice, Berrettini shared a photo of the duo on his Instagram story, captioning it, “Gracias Carlitos!” Alcaraz reciprocated the sentiment, resharing the post and replying, “Gracias a ti Matteo!”

The two players, who have faced each other four times on the ATP Tour with Alcaraz leading 3-1, continue to prepare for a highly anticipated 2025 season.
