Katie Boulter recently reminisced about her 2019 Hopman Cup experience, where she faced Roger Federer in a mixed doubles match. Speaking to Sky Sports, the British tennis star described it as a thrilling yet daunting moment in her career.
“Actually I got a chance to face Federer,” Boulter recalled. “It was daunting. I was so excited for it, and then the moment I walked out on court, I realized I was actually gonna have to play tennis. He’s probably going to judge me, but it was really fun.”
Boulter also shared her thoughts on some of the most intimidating servers she has faced on the WTA tour, including Aryna Sabalenka, Coco Gauff, and Karolina Pliskova. “There’s some big serves out there,” she said, naming the current World No.1 Sabalenka and rising star Gauff among others.
