Emma Raducanu candidly revealed she was unprepared for the pressures accompanying her luxury sponsorship deals following her 2021 US Open triumph. The 22-year-old, who became an overnight sensation after winning the Grand Slam as a qualifier, has since signed lucrative contracts with global brands like Dior, Tiffany, and Porsche.

Despite her on-court struggles and injuries, Raducanu remains among the highest-paid female athletes, earning £11m in 2024, with £9m from endorsements. She admitted that balancing tennis with off-court commitments initially overwhelmed her, taking energy away from her sport.

“I’m grateful for the opportunities, but I wasn’t prepared,” Raducanu said. “I’m now more structured, dedicating focused time to business and training.”

Looking ahead, Raducanu is working with a new strength and conditioning coach, Yutaka Nakamura, as she aims to overcome injuries and prepare for the Australian Open. However, experts warn she must deliver consistent tournament results to sustain her sponsorship appeal.
