Former British No. 1 Tim Henman has expressed confidence in Emma Raducanu’s potential to reestablish herself as a major force in tennis by 2025. Speaking to Sky Sports, Henman praised the 2021 US Open champion for her remarkable progress during a comeback season that saw her rise from outside the top 300 to World No. 57.
Raducanu’s improved ranking now allows her direct entry into Grand Slam tournaments and most WTA 1000 events, giving her more opportunities to compete at the highest level. Henman emphasized that staying injury-free and increasing her match volume will be pivotal to her continued ascent.
“If she can play more big tournaments, there’s no doubt her ranking will improve, and she’ll compete for top titles,” Henman said. He also predicted Raducanu could finish 2025 ranked among the world’s top 20 players, citing her improved physical resilience and consistency.
With health and match fitness as key factors, Henman believes Raducanu is on track to contend for the sport’s biggest prizes once again.
