Emma Raducanu has earned high praise from 1987 Wimbledon champion Pat Cash, who believes the British star has more potential than current top-10 player Emma Navarro. Despite injury setbacks in 2024, Raducanu climbed over 200 places in the WTA rankings to finish the year inside the top 60.
Cash highlighted Raducanu’s US Open triumph, calling it a reminder of her exceptional talent. He suggested that, with better fitness and consistent match play, the 22-year-old could capitalize on opportunities in a competitive women’s field. Cash also noted Raducanu’s versatility, comparing it favorably to Navarro’s toughness and competitiveness.
Raducanu, optimistic about 2025, is heading to Australia to prepare for the season’s first Grand Slam with two lead-up tournaments on her schedule.
