Iga Swiatek’s ongoing struggles with media scrutiny following her doping case have drawn suggestions from tennis legend Andy Roddick, who believes Swiatek could benefit from advice offered by World No. 1 Jannik Sinner. Swiatek’s positive test for trimetazidine, linked to contaminated melatonin medication, led to a one-month suspension and widespread criticism, despite no significant fault being attributed to her.
Roddick pointed to Sinner’s resilience amid similar circumstances, as he endured media pressure following his own doping controversy earlier this year. Sinner focused on performance, securing three titles, including the US Open, and aiding Italy’s Davis Cup triumph.
“If I were Iga, I’d call him and ask, ‘How did you handle it so effectively?’” Roddick remarked, highlighting the Polish star’s need to navigate repetitive questioning while maintaining focus.
