The tournament features a round-robin format, with eight players divided into two groups of four. The top two players from each group advance to the semi-finals, and the winners of the semi-finals compete in the final match. Matches are played best of five sets, with a first-to-four games rule. The event includes afternoon and evening sessions, ensuring fans can enjoy the action at their convenience.
Prize Money
The prize money for the Next Gen ATP Finals is a substantial $2,050,000. The undefeated champion takes home $526,480, while the runner-up receives $153,000. Each round-robin match win earns $36,660, and there is a participation fee of $150,000.

Ranked world no.20 (career-high), Fils played his last match on the 31st of October when he lost to world no.2 Alexander Zverev 6-4 3-6 6-3 in the 3rd round in Paris (draw).
