Dimitrov, the talented Bulgarian tennis player, expressed his gratitude and humility upon receiving the award. “I’m just very grateful, very thankful to all my fans, to all my colleagues, to everyone that has been such a support throughout all this time. This year, Dimitrov posted an impressive 46-18 record and won his ninth tour-level title in Brisbane. He also reached the finals in Miami, Marseille, and Stockholm, and advanced to the quarter-finals at Roland Garros, the US Open, and the Rolex Paris Masters. His stellar performance helped him finish the year at No. 10 in the PIF ATP Rankings, his best year-end ranking since 2017.

The Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award is named after the legendary Swedish tennis player, Stefan Edberg, who won the award five times between 1988 and 1995.
