Stefanos Tsitsipas has opened up about the struggles he faced during a challenging 2024 season, a year that saw him drop out of the ATP Top 10 despite early promise. The Greek star’s only notable achievements included a title win in Monte Carlo and reaching the fourth round of the Australian Open and the quarterfinals at Roland Garros.

In a candid Instagram session, Tsitsipas shared how poor results and personal challenges, including ending his professional relationship with his father, Apostolos, took a toll on him. He admitted to questioning his passion for the sport, saying,

“Tennis was no longer important to me; going to tournaments was no longer important to me. It has been tough because I had never imagined reaching these points.”

Despite his struggles, Tsitsipas highlighted his triumph in Monte Carlo as a turning point, where he surprised himself by winning the title amid personal turmoil. At 26, Tsitsipas remains determined to bounce back and rediscover his best form in 2025.
