Auger-Aliassime and his girlfriend travelled to Togo, a place that is particularly dear to the tennis player, in order to rest and recover from a tumultuous 2024 campaign. The couple was spotted playing entertaining games and meeting up with locals during their most recent trip to Kara, Togo. In addition, the former world No. 6 played tennis with young aspirants. According to Ghaibi’s memories, he was part of a traditional dance with an inspirational group leading the way.
Ghaibi wrote on Instagram: “Another Togo trip in the books filled with the most joyous, generous and inspiring groups of people I’ve witnessed.”
Auger-Aliassime, meanwhile, posted a moving video message to illuminate their culture and the ambitious youth. He also emphasized the nation’s current dearth of opportunities.
